Please excuse this section for being a "work in progress." It is like the dreaded "tell us about yourself" interview question, too broad and intimidating to truly nail on the first go, so I'll be adding to it as I go along.
For now, you may be wondering, "Why The Thriving Life?" Well, because the first fifty names I chose were taken. But in spite of that fact, I think it is fitting.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines "Thrive" as follows:
a. To make steady progress; prosper
b. To grow vigorously; flourish
It's roots are from the Old Norse "thrīfa," meaning "to seize." To me, it brings to mind the Carpe Diem mindset, and is the perfect word to describe what we should all strive for-- steady progress, and vigorous (healthy) growth. I'm writing this blog because my own experiences with illness have taught me to take health into my own hands with a distinctly integrative approach, and I want to help you do the same. Check in here for news, health tips, personal anecdotes and recipes. May your mind be fed, your body strengthened, and your spirit lifted.
I wish you all a thriving, happy life.
